Fire is purifying, illuminating, and transformational if it is properly channeled and contained. G-d is compared to fire, but a fire that burns and does not consume; G-d is holy fire.

Without fire, there is no passion. Without passion, nothing happens in the world. But fire is also destructive and dangerous if it is uncontrollable. What can take a long time to build, fire can quickly destroy.
